SNAIL FILTRATE EXTRACT: Why Snail Secretions are so special ? When a snail’s shell is damaged, it heals for itself by secreting mucus that contains a glycoprotein called ‘Mucin’.  Mucin is one of the components of skin, it helps skin tissues maintain moisture.
Snail Filtrate Extract is a concentrated extraction from the secretion of snails (therefore it is more concentrated than the filtrate). It is well known for its skin-soothing and regenerating properties. It also functions as an anti-wrinkle, and pore tightening agent.
Components of snail filtrate include allantoin (skin calming and slightly keratolytic), elastin, collagen, glycolic acid (regenerating/exfoliating), mucopolysaccharides (hydration and protect skin from external aggressions) proteolytic enzymes that help with protease/anti-protease balance peptides, zinc, iron, manganese, and essential amino acids. Olive Squalane; Is a natural emollient derived 100% from unsaponified molecules of olive oil. It is a conditioning emollient with skin-softening properties and a silky after-feel.
